Department of War Services

Cepeda proudly provides the following support to DoW through Requirements Analysis and Management, Design and Development, Test and Evaluation, and Configuration and Data Management.

With expertise using industry-leading tools, Cepeda manages, prioritizes, and tracks changes to stay aligned with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements Analysis and Management

Cepeda performs requirements development, analysis, and management by transforming high-level requirements into unambiguous (measurable and testable), traceable, complete, consistent, and customer-approved requirements.

Design and Development

Cepeda provides design and development of real-time software, cross-platform and desktop applications utilizing multiple languages from Ada, C, C++, Python to C#.

Configuration and Data Management

Cepeda provides software Configuration and Data Management (CADM) support for major DoW programs. Supports Configuration Management (CM) activities for all phases of the acquisition and deployment process including CM life cycle management and planning, configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting, and configuration verification and auditing.

Test and Evaluation

Cepeda provides design, development, integration, and test of software and hardware, components, elements, and systems for DoW. Through planning, analysis, configuration, execution, and integration Cepeda personnel ensures the stakeholders requirements and objectives are being met. Our test engineers perform the following testing: integration, stress, performance, dry run, Formal Qualification Tests (FQTs), regression, and system.

National Aeronautics And Space Administration

Cepeda proudly provides the following support to NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center through Software and Systems Engineering, Configuration Management, and Engineering Process Improvement services. Cepeda’s support covers a vast number of NASA programs and projects including Space Launch System (SLS), Human Landing Systems (HLS), Mars Ascent Vehicle (MAV), Moon2Mars, International Space Station (ISS), Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV), and Gateway.

Software Engineering

Provides requirements, test, development, verification and validation, and engineering oversight services of flight and ground software supporting NASA’s SLS, HLS, ISS, and MAV programs. Cepeda is responsible for engineering support throughout all phases of the software lifecycle.

Systems Engineering

Provides systems engineering expertise through requirements development, cross-program integration, Jira project administration, metrics tracking, and technology readiness level development to NASA’s HLS, Moon2Mars, LTV, Gateway programs as well as center-led scientific projects. Provides leadership to engineering teams using a model-based systems engineering approach ensuring finished products will fulfill the goals and objectives of the program or project.

Configuration Management

Ensures product configuration is consistent throughout the lifecycle and reflected in product information, maintains integrity and traceability while focused on product quality, and supports established project management processes. Cepeda provides configuration management support to all phases of flight and ground software product life cycle, as well as facility hardware, to NASA’s SLS and MAV programs.

Engineering Process Improvement

Provides CMMI coaching, training, audits, and appraisal services to multiple NASA centers. Cepeda offers NASA its full complement of CMMI capabilities to assist NASA in their efforts to fold engineering best-practices into everyday processes.

Process Improvement & CMMI Coaching/Consulting

Cepeda’s certified CMMI Associates and Professionals provide CMMI and/or ISO-based process improvement consulting and coaching in support of process definition, performance improvement, and appraisal/audit preparation. Cepeda-developed tools, including mapping aids for transition from early CMMI models, process toolkits for process definition, and the Cepeda Appraisal Partner (CAP) tool for appraisal preparation/readiness activities, accelerate adoption of CMMI best practices while decreasing resource requirements. Coaching/mentoring services include assisting organizations in developing an ISO 9001:2015-compliant Quality Management System (QMS) and assistance in preparing for ISO external certification audits.

CMMI Appraisals

Cepeda employs Certified CMMI Lead Appraisers to provide CMMI Benchmark, Sustainment, and Evaluation appraisals, on schedule and under cost. The Cepeda Appraisal Partner (CAP) tool is an intuitive web-based tool that results in appraisal preparation and conduct efficiency. Our hands-on custom approach to appraisal planning and preparation ensures complete organizational understanding and readiness. Our “just-in-time” training approach throughout the appraisal planning and conduct phases increases Appraisal Team Member understanding and provides more value-added results to the organization.

Process Improvement & CMMI Training

Cepeda’s certified CMMI Instructors deliver the official CMMI Institute-based training via interactive instructor-led virtual or face-to-face classes resulting in CMMI Associate and Practitioner Certifications. In addition, we provide customized CMMI training tailored to the audience and organization’s needs. We also provide process definition, metric, and audit workshops. Lastly, Cepeda develops and delivers training that is based on the organization’s processes in support of process deployment. Cepeda has delivered customized training onsite and virtual training, tailored to meet customer needs and in the environment and timeframe specified by the customer.
